"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

Memorial Day

Corey was asked to be the keynote speaker at the Tremonton Memorial Day program they have every year at the cemetery. It was a really great experience and Corey was very honored that they asked him to do so. It was such a nice program.

Not a great family picture, but the best one we got...

Grandma Holmgren is buried in the Tremonton cemetery so we had to introduce Nora to the lady she was named after, June Norr.

Wedding

What a day!! What a great day!! Dallen and Ashley got married today and Corey performed the marriage. He did a great job and I was really proud of him. Ashley looked beautiful and Dallen looked so, so happy. I'm really excited for them!

(If they look a little pixelated, it's because they are copies...lol!)

We also found out that Nathan has mad dancing skills. But only a video would suffice for that one and I'm not going to post it on here.

Nora and Brec had fun walking around.

And Nora had her first father/daughter dance.

Again, a really great day.

Productive Day

Out of everything all at once!!

Bread is rising, yogurt in one crockpot, 'Refried' beans in the other (black beans is tastier than pinto), and chicken stock is on the stove. Up next is strawberry jam for the freezer!

I'm sure my feet will hurt tonight...

Graduation and more Birthday

This cute kid officially graduated from preschool today. Kindergarten is in our near future! I took a bunch of videos of their songs and stuff, but what a handsome fella!

Gramma J, Grampa, and Parker came up for Nora's birthday today. Nora was constantly moving and I couldn't get a single quality picture (with my phone that is...)!

Books, stickers, a bag for her baby stuff, and a couple new outfits! Also a spoiler, that Gramma!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

...to the cutest little doll face stinker there ever was! I say that because she really is so cute and so fun and such a hoot. But she can also be a stinker and it very busy and dramatic and wants things done her way. We sure love her though!

This is her holding up 2 fingers and saying "2!"

Her giant whole-wheat cookie cake topped with real whipped cream and strawberries!

Yum-o!!

Opening presents!

Mom and Dad made sure to get the purple stroller and not the pink stroller. I think it's her favorite color. She gets excited about anything purple and it was the first color word she said.

With her new baby and stroller! She fell in love right away and knew just what to do.

See?! What a doll face!

Nora's 2 yr checkup stats: she weighed 27# 9oz (60%), 34.75" tall (75%), head circumference 50cm (97%).

P.S. And a Happy Mother's Day to me (haha) and all moms and motherly figures out there!

Big Day

Today was such a big day. It started with Nathan's gymnastics show at Tanglewood. All I took were a bunch of videos, so I'm not going to post them here. He did great. I think I'm going to keep up with the gymnastics. He's really good at it and enjoys it as well.

Then we went to Murray so Parker could open his mission call. We tried to surprise him, but he did end up finding out right before they got home.

He's going to the Arizona Tempe mission, English speaking, leaving August 28th. It's really exciting and I'm really proud of him!

Medicine Cabinet

I cleaned out the medicine cabinet. Finally. These are all things I haven't touched in about a year because we have been able to take care of all of our needs with essential oils. Of course most of them were expired. I have essential oils or doTERRA products to replace everything you see here - face wash, bug spray, lotion, sunscreen, all the medications. What a garbage full!

Old Picture

Look at this cute old family picture of the Holmgrens. I can't get over the cuteness! I can't ever tell the twins apart when they were little. Not until they get to be about high school age or so.
