More funnies

We're on a roll these days with the funnies.

Nora came up or the third time after putting her to bed. She said she was scared. This is a semi regular occurrence and we are working on it. So for the umpteenth time, I tell her that her room is not scary, she has her nightlight, Nathan is with her, she has her music, her Lovey, and we said a prayer already that she wouldn't be scared. I said, "So when you think about Jesus, the Holy Ghost is with you." Her response: "Whaaat?!? That silly Holy Ghost!" And starts to giggle...

Funny girl

Nora came into the bathroom while I was getting ready and announced she needed to go potty. I asked her if I could help (sometimes I can, sometimes I can't and it's a really big deal if I try to help her when she wants to do it 'all herself'). She said , "No," and quickly starts unzipping her jimmies and saying to herself, over and over again, "Don't pee yet. Don't pee yet. Don't pee yet!"

And it worked. She made it.

Book of Mormon

I was reading the Book of Mormon to the kids during breakfast. We just started and are still in 1 Nephi. We were talking about how Nephi is writing this, etc and Nathan says, "So, Nephi wrote this? Well, how did we get it?" I felt my face light up. Golden Teaching Moment!!! So, I explained about burying them in a hole and Heavenly Father  protected it until an angel came to...who? I started giving hints. "He was the very first prophet... He saw Heavenly Father and Jesus... His name was J...J...Jo...ss...e...ph Sssss...mmm... And then Nora (not who I was expecting) yells, "Joseth Smif!" (How cute is that pronunciation??) And Nathan said, "Yeah, Joseph Smith." I told them yes, and that Joseph Smith translated them into English so we could read it.

It was just a really cute and precious moment I wanted to record to remember. Cuties.
