Crepes
Nathan and Dad had a contest to see who could eat the most crepes for breakfast this morning. Nathan won, 6 to 3.

Grandma Perry
My Grandma Perry turned 90 on the 13th. We had a birthday celebration yesterday and I got to see many cousins that I don't see very much. She's probably one of the most selfless people I know. She has led a lifetime of service to others and I love her dearly.

Family Movie Night
Corey went camping with one of his clients tonight so we're having a sleepover. Sleepovers for us mean we get to fall asleep to a movie and sleep downstairs. We're adding to it a movie with pizza and smoothies. I usually do homemade pizza, but I was lazy today and did Papa Murphy's. #I'mTooStessedOutToPutForthAnEffort

The Last Week of Preschool
We got to go on a field trip Tuesday with Nora's preschool. We met at the playground then were given papers with items like leaf, flower, cloud, seed, bird, etc to find on our nature walk. We went on a long walk, found all but 2 items, and had a lot of fun. One thing I have recently observed and, although nowhere near perfect but I'm realizing and trying to be better, is the lack of interaction between parent and child when out and about. I don't want to miss those little moments where we get to connect. They build trust, understanding, and love. I want to build that up in my children. Anyway, we took lunches as well and ate on our picnic blanket and then played for a bit more after we were finished. Packing yogurt was not the right food item to pack for Miss Lexie to eat while at the park. Talk about messy! I used her jacket as a rag. Lol. Thankfully the sun came out for a few minutes so it wasn't that cold at the moment. I didn't take any pictures. We were having too much fun DOING.
Today was Nora's last day of her preschool year. They had a carnival today. It was cute. Games, a bounce house, photo booth, face painting, popcorn, and snow cones. Lexie even joined in on the fun.
Since Nora got a new bike for her birthday, her old bike is now Lexie's. I think Lexie is really excited about it. She only stays on for a couple of minutes, but always comes right back when she gets off.
This cute little face...
And this watermelon-mouth from dinner tonight. Lol!
I also took a picture of Lexie's hand tonight to keep tracking her progress. I supposed it really is getting better, it's just sssssoooooo slow that I'm not sure I will ever be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
