"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

Swimsuit

Ordered. Not yet arrived. Actually excited to go swimming this year.

This top...

...but with these bottoms. (I actually wanted this whole ensemble, but it was sold out in ALL sizes. Guess I wasn't the only one...)

My Shopping Spree

Corey and I had such a fun day shopping. It was so great spending the whole day together. We dropped the kids off to a friend's at 7:30 and drove to Salt Lake. I didn't think about all the store in City Creek not opening until 10:00, so got a snack at Subway, walked around a bunch, and waited for 10 o'clock to roll around. We walked over to Simply Sushi for lunch and it was good! We decided we want to try making our own sushi. Has anyone ever done that before? We got home at 7:00 in time to start baths and put the kids to bed. Longest date ever. Loved it.

Item not pictured:
1 white denim skirt, correct size ordered
2 bras (unfortunately, boobs also get smaller when you lose weight)
garments
2 pairs of leggings

Items purchased:
1 pair dark blue denim jeans
1 pair khaki capris
2 skirts
2 'short' dresses
9 shirts
2 tank tops
1 pair heels
1 pair flats
1 fabulous pair of boots

Items still needed:
Something yellow. I love yellow and I don't have anything that is yellow.
Something red. I also love red and don't have anything red.
1 pair of blue denim capris

Nice Weather

We moved the trampoline to our back porch (it's so nice to have the space again downstairs, I didn't realize how much I'd missed it) and got our sandbox all ready. Nora's all ready 'broke it in' by eating some. She is now summer ready.

We had a fun evening at the park on one of our nights off.

As Per Request

These are the best I've got.

This is not a good picture, but it does give a good idea. This is me at either 165 lbs or 167 lbs, I can't remember. August 2011

This is me at 140 lbs. April 2012

Graduation

I'm so happy that people took pictures for us. I still feel kind of bad that I didn't go. Corey made it into the top 20% of the graduating class.

The whole group (I think).

Handsome boy!

Corey and Chpl Bowlus, his favorite cadre of his whole CH-BOLC experience. Apparently, he and Corey were pretty competitive when it came to PT, pushing each other to perform their best. Chpl Bowlus was also pretty famous for his many, many phrases, which, of course, Corey came back saying. "Let me give you some free chicken." "You can never beat a dead horse too many times." "You really took a turd in the punch bowl on that one." Yeah, don't really ask me what they mean because I couldn't tell ya.

The 5 LDS graduates of CH-BOLC Winter 2012. For such a 'small' group, 5 was a pretty big number.

Easter Celebrations

On Saturday, we had an Easter egg hunt at the farm. Aunt Tam does one just about every year and then we have a lunch together after. Corey hadn't even been home 24 hours yet and I had just gotten done with my final biggest loser weigh in. We had a lot of fun. Then when we got home, we all crashed, me for an hour and everyone else for two. We were all kind of tired! :)

Corey jumped right back into things and had a 7am meeting on Sunday before church at 9. So he missed our Easter wake-up. I'm still finding that wonderful plastic grass in the living room after 2 or 3 serious hand searches and a vacuum. Oh, well. Let the kids live, right?

And this is the best picture we got. It's a lot harder to take a picture of the two of them together when Nora can move around. She won't just sit anymore. Can you see the giant wet spot around the top of her dress? She'd only had it on for maybe 15-20 minutes and it was already soaked. She's been drooling like crazy. I can see multiple teeth 'right there' just waiting to cut through. We wanted to spend the day with just us, so I made a really good dinner. Everything turned out great, so yummy, and Corey loved it as his 'first homemade meal'. We really enjoyed our day together.

And just for fun, here are past Easter pictures...
