"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

Baby Update

**Don't mind my messy kitchen in the background.**

Here I am at 24 weeks tomorrow. Anyone else feel like I'm huge? Cuz I sure do. Seriously.

So I'm pretty sure we've come to a compromise/conclusion about our little girl's name. You may recall that I fully wanted Nora and Corey fully wanted Norah. Thank you for all those who voted on our poll and took my side. And you others, well, you can stop reading our blog. So just kidding. Really. Just kidding.

So here's the compromise. I kind of wanted Mae as the middle name and Corey really liked June. (No, we did not choose those names because they are months in the year or because she will probably be born in May.) I told Corey, "If you let me have Nora without an 'h', you can have June be the middle name." He immediately said, "Done."

So there you have it, folks. Nora June. Norr is Corey's dad's middle name, which was his mom's (Corey's grandma) maiden name. That's where Nora came from. The same grandma's first name was June. So Corey's grandma was June Norr and our little girl will be Nora June. Kind of cute. I like it. I still feel a little weird calling her that, but it's getting better. It's kind of like admitting that there really is a little person in there, and that she's my daughter, and making it all real. Not just a growing belly that twitches every now and then with what feels like popcorn popping or something. I did have a dream last night about holding a newborn baby and was so excited that it was my baby girl. This morning I felt tons better about calling this thing that thinks I'm a punching bag Nora June.

Basement Update

Nathan's room all insulated. We only needed to do his room and the ceiling. Most everything is completely under ground.

The insulator. He LOVED it. No he didn't. He hopes that he NEVER has to do that job again. I did help a little. I was a good measurer and cutter. What an itchy job.

In the middle of sheetrock-ing.

 Sheetrock done!

Taping, mudding, sanding, and texturizing are continuing on. Everything is currently in place and on schedule to paint on SATURDAY! We've even got sitters lined up for Nathan so that Corey and I can bust it out.

P.S. Hallie and Nathan had fun while the Browers came over to help :)

Birthday. Again.

No not mine, silly. My handsome husband, Corey!

Sorry the pics or so bad. Couldn't find the camera so I had to use the video recorder. It's great for videos. Not for still pictures.

Like that fireball on his cake? Corey turned 27 and yes I fit 27 candles on his cake. I think that I will keep doing that until he reaches, *gasp*, 30. I don't know if I can fit, let alone light, that many candles for too much longer! Nathan loves singing Happy Birthday and knows all the words. He's quite the singing machine these days. He had fun singing to me, kept singing it all week, then loved singing to Dad, and kept singing all week. Then we celebrated our friend Natalie's birthday. Now yesterday was pop-in-law's birthday so we'll be singing again on Sunday to Grandpa, which will probably make him sing it again all week.

And who doesn't love some bath time pictures while we're at it??

And this...

25 Years, 20 Weeks

20 Weeks. Halfway! I never did the week by week pictures with Nathan, and even though this is the first picture we've taken so far, I hope to have more pictures this time to remember the growth.

Yesterday was my birthday. Quarter of a century! I remember thinking '25' sounded so grown up and mature. Cool people were 25. Guess I'm cool now, too. I guess...

Don't mind my hand still holding '3' from counting 1...2...3 with the kids. Guess now that I'm 25 I can't think about two things at once.

Nater-gater the cheeseball and Rissa Ron the toothless cutie.

Look what we're doing

Our basement. (Yeah, we have a basement. Did I ever say?) Our plans are to put in a bedroom (this will be Nathan's room so the baby can have the room upstairs), a storage room and a big family room. We'll also have a play room under the stairs and we're moving our computer and 'office' stuff down there. I can't wait to have a nice quiet, non-cluttered living room. We're not even going to keep the TV upstairs. Just the piano and maybe a book shelf. Oh, this downstairs can't be finished fast enough!

THANK YOU BROWERS AND FRIENDS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!!!
