"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

First Camping Trip of the Season!

Yes it's April and we went camping last night! We really like doing this as a family and we don't know what our summer is going to bring so we are going to try to get it as many trips as possible.

We went to Peterson Park, just over kind of by Deweyville, by the river bottoms. It takes about 5 minutes to get there. It was so much fun!!

All packed up and ready to go!

A snack before our 'hike'. (Mom's needs lots of snacks these days...)

Hiking!

Back in time for dinner. Hot dogs by the fire.

It did get a little cold in the night. We dressed really warm, wore beanies, and had multiple blankets on us. We decided to split up to make sure the kids stayed warm. Dad and Nora slept together and Mom and Nathan slept together. You can see a tiny Nora head in the big pile of blankets.

In the morning, Nora and Mom snuggled while Dad got the heat turned on.

Already for breakfast! We enjoyed yummy hot chocolate waiting for the pancakes to be done. Homemade, of course, with milk, cocoa, and pure maple syrup! :)

Delicious whole wheat pancakes.

It really was a lot of fun!
