"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

Christmas crazies part 2

Christmas Eve

*At Grandma and Grandpa Holmgren's

We attempted to remember the true meaning of Christmas and had the kids act out the nativity. We didn't plan this at all, but it all pull together. The kids wanted to, then didn't, then would listen, then wouldn't, would stay, then ran away. But, what a night to remember! Nora was Mary, Nathan was Joseph, Corbin was a shepherd, and Devin and Colby were wise men. We almost had Lexie be baby Jesus, but decided we didn't trust Nora to hold her. Ha! That's ok because Gramma Kathy was more than willing to hold her sleeping grandbaby.

Crazy girl...
 Getting ready...

 Crazy again...

 Holding baby Jesus.

Nathan kept willing his loose tooth. Haha!
 Gramma and Lexie

 Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus.
 Here comes the shepherd.

 And now the wise men.
Grandpa is reading the story in the background.

 Everyone!

And now for the Christmas Eve PJs. So many families have this tradition. It's a fun one.

When we got home, who came driving by, but Richard and Aubree! Our babies are only 2 weeks apart. What a fun surprise!
