"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

Nathan, the life of the party.

Oh, my Nater-gater. He's turning into quite the funny kid. He says some pretty hilarious things. He loves riding his bike. He loves playing outside. He loves watching 'shows'. He loves doing anything with Dad. He loves his routines and heaven forbid we do something different. We read the same stories over and over and over until he has them memorized. He'll watch the same movie everyday for weeks until I convince him to watch something else. He also has to have choices. I'll say, "Which shirt do you want to wear, this one or this one?" "What do you want for lunch, chicken nuggets or a peanut butter sandwich?" "Peanut butter." "Jelly or honey?" "Jelly." "Grape or strawberry?" (you get the idea...). He loves playing with cars, legos, anything sports related. He loves to play pretend and frequently makes me soup. I've had everything from chocolate soup to spider soup to lego soup. He is my carb-a-licious eater and would live on pancakes, waffles, peanut butter sandwiches, and rolls if I let him. He asks everyday if we are going to the gym. He loves playing with his friends there. He loves to wrestle and rough house. He likes to climb on things and then jump off of them. He shows me 'tricks' all day long. He always reminds us to pray before eating and always wants to say the prayer. He loves singing primary songs and, on a good day during family night, will want to sing several. He 'reads' his own scriptures (we read a couple of verses at a time and have him repeat the word(s) out loud).

Here's some great pictures of him.

We almost never let him drink soda. Only once in a great while. He helped himself to Dad's root beer and would make this super funny face because of the carbonation. I tried to catch it but never quite got it just right. It was really funny.

Nathan is so observant. He watched Corey go out to the soda machine and figured out how it works. The next day, I hear the door open and come out to find that Nathan had helped himself to change in the motel's money drawer, put the change in the coin slot, pushed the root beer button and was on his way back inside the house with his newly purchased drink when I came out and found him. The little turkey...

First day of preschool. September 7. He goes Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-3:30. They do gymnastics, sports, life skills, and music along with the regular letters and numbers, etc. He really loves it and is learning some good things. They also have a field trip once a month that I've enjoyed going with him to.

This kid loves going to the park. He loves climbing and doing anything active. September 10.

He and his cute little friend, Hallie, the arranged marriage ;) September 30.

One of his favorite things at Gwama and Gwampa's house. The scooter. October 2.

Painting pumpkins. October 22nd.

Loves his legos. He was really excited about this one. It was a 'T tower.' November 21st.
