"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. You might say, I am not the creative type. If that is how you feel, think again. Creation is your opportunity in this life….. Start small. Creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you. You will make the World a better place. Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create."

Gratitude post day 5

During lunch today I showed the girls a picture of me from just before I had Lexie. We giggled about how big my belly was and I tried to explain to Lexie that she used to be in my tummy. Then Nora asks, "But Mom, how did she come out? Did you poop her out or spit her out?" She is one smart cookie. Many times, too smart for her own good. She's already learning to read sight words and can do simple math problems. She takes care of her little sister and wants to be so helpful.

So today I am thankful for my Nora. Her spunk and wit never disappoint. She is very compassionate and also very dramatic. She still only cries at a level 10 no matter what the issue, since the day she was born. Our lives would be dull without her.
